I have no idea what "That was the week that was" was like in its British form. I never saw even one episode. Maybe they were never shown on this side of the Atlantic.
But I do remember TW3 as an American show, with excellent songs by Tom Lehrer, who is regarded by some as the greatest songwriter of the 20th Century.
