Its good to be open to new ideas & to enjoy each others take on life. One example of this was when I taught my housemates how to write flaming letters. We wrote "LAND HERE" on the driveway in 3 foot letters (in gasoline). One match strike later and we were enjoying the cheery glow of our message.
Another comes from the time my housemates got into an argument over some communal furniture they had bought. They wanted to sell it to the next people who were going to live in the house, but the people moving in weren't willing to pay the asking price. Ultimately, everyone except for one person had moved out, so at the last moment we had to decide what to do with this big piece. Did we cave in and accept the last offer? Was the last offer even on the table? Did we leave it for them to take for free? I convinced my friend that it was time for a tactic known as "scorched earth". So we invited the new tenants to a bonfire, in which we burned said piece of furniture.
The rosy glow of 15 foot high flames greeted them, but to their horror, in the center of the fire was the furniture that they thought they had gotten for free.
