I successfully ran the 20-miles Great North South Run from Egypt Point , Cowes, which is the northernmost point of the Isle of Wight, to St Catherine's Point , which is the southernmost.

What's that? St Catherine's pointing at some Egyptian cows?

Now that you mention it, there were a load of cows all around St Catherine's - mostly perched right on the edge of the cliff. After 20 miles with the finish in site, I was dodging the cowpats.

Dose that mean that runners are not very popular with the Islanders?

Not too bad - I was fairly mobile, although I still feel as if I've got heavy weights tied to my calf muscles. Should be back to normal for my 1/4 marathon on Sunday (I'm doing the first bit of the Clarendon Marathon along the Clarendon Way - Salisbury to Winchester - as part of a 4-man relay team).
