At the wedding of my old school friend Natalie to Will I was asked to do a Bible reading. As, at a wedding where my wife had been asked to do a Bible reading the church concerned did not have a Bible (!), I printed out a copy of the reading and put it in my suit pocket, a suit I'd worn a couple of days earlier at an interview for a promotion, just to be prepared. So after the hymn 'Who would true valour see (To Be A Pilgrim)' I went up to the lectern, took out the piece of paper from my pocket and was about to read when I noticed what it said, 'I feel I fit the person profile as I am a hard-working team-player who works well on my own initiative...' I had taken my interview notes out of my pocket by mistake.
Fortunately I was able to quickly get the right piece of paper out of my pocket and read the right reading (Colossians 3:12-17), and although I accidentally read the words out in the wrong order at the end, saying 'giving thanks to the Godfather' instead of 'giving thanks to God the Father', I don't think anyone noticed....

Reminds me of a Two Ronnies sketch.
Corbett (handing Barker a newspaper cutting): "There - read that!"
Barker: "Stop embarrassing itching!"
Corbett: "No, the other side."
