Over the weekend I travelled down to Reading to see my friend Ben (aka The Fish) and to meet his baby daughter. She was dedicated on Sunday.
As Ben now has a family of his own I can't really crash on his floor as I always used to, especially as my fiancee Sarah came too, and so we stayed in a hotel - the Comfort Inn Reading South, to be precise. It was the first time I've ever stayed in a hotel.

Reading!!! That's practically almost in Wiltshire! We were only two pages in the map book away from each other!!

Yes, it is fairly nearby - although more Berkshire, and indeed only a five minute stroll from Oxfordshire, but still near Wiltshire. I don't think my fiance Sarah would want to drive down to Wiltshire to meet people neither of us has met yet - she still thinks the whole H2G2 and internet in general is a bit odd

How are Mr and Mrs Fish and the little ? I haven't seen the Fish around for a while. Mind you, I've not really seen you, BB. Different conversations, it seems.

Well, I've very rarely been online these days as I still don't have my own PC and my fiance's parents one is of early 90s vintage.
And when I do get a chance to go online I have so little time and so many conversations I tend to only devote a sentance to each thread in an attempt to get through them all - but I hope to go to my first meet in a couple of years in York. Hopefully I'll see you there!
