I would just like to write to remind everyone to buy a poppy for Rembrance Day on the 11th November. This is very important, and is something I believe in strongly, so could you please all buy a poppy and help those who fought and died, or had loved ones die, to give us peace in the UK.

I have no problem with annually donating a reasonably
large sum to this important cause, but dont like to wear the poppy.
Is this bad?

How can it be bad when you have made the donation? The Poppy is just to bring to remind people about the cause, so they see the poppy and remember what it's about. As you've remembered, then you've done your bit. All the Poppy does is help remind people, so wearing one in theory helps encourage others to.
But honestly, the poppies never stay on for long. I keep losing them - the pins just don't work, so I end up buying at least 5. I've lost the one I bought a couple of days ago...
