Wow!
That's quite an impressive application you just made to the Musician's guild! What sort of stuff do you normally play on all those instruments? Personally, I play Jazz saxophone and classical clarinet.
Welcome to hootoo, nehows. I haven't been here long myself, but I've been impressed! I don't know how much you've found, but this thread:

may interest you. Or if your 'arty-farty' description includes computer graphics (it may not!), try A829415.
Have fun.

Hello paul, hows u?
Those links you suggested were v cool, Ive seen the 'what music you listening to now' one before, but the Comminity Artsist is a new one for me, might give it a go!
I play all sorts of stuiff on my piano etc. Its a bit poo at the mo as Ive only recently(ish) moved into a new house, and as yet have not moved my piano up here. The lease runs out soon so when I know where I'll be staying, then Im gonna get it.
Piano - i play Joplin, baroque stuff, some classical (although Im not that keen), music from film and stage, and my own compositions mainly. On the old violin, I usually lovbe to play vivaldi and various film music which I have to play from ear... film stuff is really hard to get hold of.
As regards clarinet and saxaphone, I cant even get one note out.how bad is that?
Musicians Guild still havent got back to me......put in a good word?

I'm fine thanx charlie!
I shouldn't worry about not being able to play the clarinet or saxophone; I wish I could play the piano better, as I'm still a one handed player!
Good luck with the house-hunting. Thankfully I'll be in university halls for as long as I want (possibly the whole 3 years!), so I won't have that pleasure for a while yet.
I think Danny, the guy in charge of the MG, is having a break or something. I'm sure he'll reply soon! If he hasn't in a week or so, try posting again to boost it up his convo list!

Well I was right, Danny was away, so you should be a fully-fledged member of the guild very soon, now that he's back.
good luck with the job, I hope all goes well today.
Cambridge is fine. I'm being sensible with the / at the moment: far too much else to do so I can't afford to have s. Having said that, I think I've been recently... Oh well.

Hi, I'm fine, if a little busy . It's quite cold here too! Did you get much snow the other week? We got 1-2 inches here! Great fun, fights on the way to lectures, yay!
OK, information on GuideML can be obtained from A395552. To add the Guild badge, you simply stick the code in from A434648. I hope this helps.
If you need an example, the code from my page can be obtained at testuserpage212512. That is, change the URL of this page by deleting the end part after the last / and replacing it with testuserpage212512. This works for all personal spaces, and guide entries using test{guideentrynumberhere}.
However, if this is still too complicated (I've started putting more complicated stuff on my page recently, so even I get confused now!), I could rewrite your current homepage into guideML. I'm a bit busy this week, but could do it at the weekend!
If you need any further explanation on smaller points, ask me, I'll do my best, but I didn't fancy posting an entire entry on GuideML here!
Sorry to hear about the job. Hope you find something more suitable soon.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I've been temping over the summer. Nice feeling of freedom. Unfortunately the pay's not up to much.
OK, here's your page in guideML:

well, here I am as a newbie on H2G2. heard a lot about it from a close source called Tonto!!!!!! <SMILEY TYPE="biggrin"/>
A bit about me..........
I live in Sheffield with my Boyf, and am a music Graduate. I am very arty-farty, and count myself as a musician, photographer and ( on a good day) une artiste. <SMILEY TYPE="artist"/>
Just started a new job at an Insurance company, nothing to do with music <SMILEY TYPE="musicalnote"/> tho, <SMILEY TYPE="sadface"/>
Am adding stuff to my page all the time, so here's some <SMILEY TYPE="cheesecake"/> while you wait.
Cheshire <SMILEY TYPE="cat"/> <SMILEY TYPE="biggrin"/>
<SMILEY TYPE="bluebutterfly"/>
<SMILEY TYPE="hug"/> xx
----end guide ML---- (stop copying here)
hopefully that should work. I even corrected the typo in the second section (photographer)!
As a rule of thumb, where-ever youi would normaly press enter, type , and when you need a smiley, use <SMILEY TYPE="yoursmileytypehere"/>. That should deal with all of the stuff you currently have on your page.
I'm fine thx, just getting overwhelmed with maths work as the term draws to a close... I can't believe the exams are just over 2 months away
Give me a shout if you want help adding the musicians guild badge to your page...

hey there, how are you? its took me so long to reply, things have been a right mare at home, had to move out v quickly and things got confusing. Am now living in Peterborough and looking for yet another job!!!.
Hows the revision/exams etc going? What year are you finishing now? I wish I was back at uni, im really sick of job stuff.
Sent my Cv to some Cmabridge agencies, not having much luck #getting anything decent in Boro.
Oh, and I havent tried the GuideML thingy yet, Ive re-written my page and am gonna try ina bit.One question tho, when I load up my page I get my conversations at the top and my personal bit at the bottom. Is it the skin im in, or is there another way to swop them?
