Is it not enough that the price of fuel is so high these days, that we have to sit and wait for ages for someone to come back to their car and drive away, before we can even fill up

Ever since these garage forecourts started having shops in them, we have had to wait for ages just to fill up.

Then, just to make things worse, they get back in, then start to look for their car keys, then move their handbag or adjust the mirror, buckle up the seat belt, then eventually drive off...but very slowly

Oh! for the old days when you drove up to the pump,....filled up (because back then you could fill the tank, without a mortgage)then simply went in to the kiosk, paid in cash, (not with those cheque cards, which take ages for the cashier to process, and always seem to be hard to find, when the person eventually gets to the front of the queue) after spending 5 minutes staring at the wall?

The whole process of buying fuel in the old days, took around 2 minutes, these days, it takes around 10 times longer...but its called progress

cheer up it could be worse you could be the poor person whose car has been hit by someone who accidentally left the handbrake off while they went and paid and then returned to their car and without a word drove off!!!!
