I do so agree Red Kite. They won't be able to airbrush the blemishes out now, and even heavy make up will probably show up more.
Smudger, Have your treats now, then at least you will be comfortable once you have moved. I used to save for a rainy day, and worry about the future, but now I take each day as it comes and make the best of it.

Yea! that's exactly what we said, besides if we have more than £6000 in our back we would lose all our benefits including my disability
So by the time we buy this lot we will hardly anything left
Its not as if we could have a holiday, as Mk2 cant get travel insurance or even fly anywhere So we just going to treat ourselves
Its good to be able to come in here and share all this with you all

Smudger, I'm sure I speak for us all - its our pleasure to share your ups and downs! Speaking for myself, coming on here and reading how you all manage to get along and stay cheerful, certainly puts my own silly problems into perspective. Thank You one and all
Silly Red Kite with a little headache - diddums!

Hi Folks, Well today I treated myself to a new 19" TFT monitor and a new 21" flat screen TV for Mk2 in the bedroom
We just thought we should treat ourselves and cheer us up
So as soon as we came home, I was unpacking and connecting both items, really surprised myself by managing to do them both. The size of the print now on this new monitor is amazing
Just though I would share some good news with you all for a change

WS, the TV was self tuning, and the monitor only had three cables to connect up, and it was a plug in and play one, so no need to load programs into the computer to tell it that a new one was fitted

Hi WS, My favourite saying is,..if all else fails, read the instructions
It was the same when we fitted this new hard drive, the instructions looked really scary, Especially that bit about not touching it with your bear hands, and always keep your self earthed Yet, one we started it went in no problem, and we had our fingers well crossed when we booted it up again
Considering I only came "on line" as it were around 3 years ago, (that's when I joined H2) I suppose my techie skills have improved a bit

A bit ! You put most of us to shame.
I daren't touch anything. My son does it all. He keeps promising me something bigger and better but I am still waiting. I am very restricted, but very grateful for the new world it has opened up to me. I am sure you feel the same. I feel a bit sorry for people who either, cannot afford to go online, or are trying not to get sucked infor one reason or another!!
Mind I have to work twice as hard and twice as fast at everything else to get time online.

Hi WS,Yea I must admit I never knew I would be burning CDs to disc from the Internet when I was buying vinyl records way back in the 60s, and playing them on my then top of the range portable mono record player
I am totally amazes just how far technology has come in our generation, and being able to keep up with it all is an achievement in itself
Smudger,
