Hi Merryweather! How are you enjoying h2g2? Isn't it fun?!
Hope you're enjoying it. You're most welcome to stop by at my page for a nosy, I've got a few links on there for interesting places to go.
Whereabouts in Scotland are you? I'm in West Lothian. (Livingston to be exact!) There's a link on my page for the Scottish Researchers Group, you should have a look, (if you haven't already!) they're a good bunch!
Take care, have fun, keep smiling!
mo.
Greetings & salutations!

Hiya Mo
Thanks for the greeting, I'm in the Highlands, very near Fort William.
I've been to Livingston twice, both times because my daughter took a wrong turning due to a load of roadworks. It looked nice in passing, must find time to visit.
Will now go and have a look at your page and possibly the Scottish Researchers Group, (that is if I don't forget what I'm looking for - I've a very bad memory.

Fort William - nice place! Must be cold where you are now. We're dealing with really hard frosts & drastically low temperatures right now. It's usually worse up north isn't it?
Livi's alright. Mainly just houses & offices though, but I must admit the shops are quite good! (but that's not a really good thing for my bank balance!)
Are you looking forward to christmas? I'm all organised. All the pressies have been bought & wrapped. Going for my xmas food shop tonight, will probably spend a fortune! I really enjoy christmas, mainly because of kiddo. This'll probably be his last year of believing in so it'll have to be extra special!
Greetings & salutations!

Hiya
Yeah we are about minus 6 today, so Iim feeling really cold. FW can have totally different weather to what the forecasters say. Sometimes we have the best weather in the country and they say it is raining. Still I like the rain.
Christmas is getting nearer and nearer, but I don't think I'm getting any more ready for it. I don't have any days off work to go shopping so I will have to rely on one of my daughters to get fresh food for me on Christmas Eve. Alistair (my hubby) went back to work yesterday and won't be home till 29th. So I'm having a fairly quiet Christmas. It's lovely when children still believe in Santa, but a lot easier when they don't. My girls being in their 20's are a long way past that.
Have a super time - make the most of it, as children grow so quickly.

Children do indeed grow up quickly! I remember when I had my son, everyone told me to make the most of him as a baby, that it wouldn't last long. How right they were! It seems like one minute I had a wee baby in my arms, then I blinked and he's a 4" tall, 6yr old, primary 2 lad with attitude!
If I don't get a chance nearer the time, (3 days to go!!) have a lovely christmas! xx

Thank you for your greetings.
I do hope you and your family have a wonderful time.
One more day at work (Christmas Eve) then I get 5 whole days off. Can't wait, been working the last 9 days, and am getting tired, trying to fit in all the Christmas preperations in the evenings.
Love and Blessings to you all

Hiya!
Hope you had a good xmas & new year!
We had fun here. A boisterous xmas time & quite a quiet hogmanay.
Kiddo came down with chickenpox on dec 27th. Poor wee thing, he's been really ill with it. He's meant to be back at school tomorrow but he'll have to stay off for another week. The school don't like them going back til all their spots are away. Extra hols for him but he's not pleased!
So have you hit the sales yet?! I went on saturday and picked up some nice bits & bobs. Clothes, make-up, jewellary. Some right good bargains!
How's your weather? It's absolutely freezing here. Had some snow, not enough for a though!
It's mainly turning to ice now. I've been out salting the path, it's usually me that falls on it so I'm not taking any chances!
Hope you're ok.
Greetings & salutations!

HaHa!
There's me asking if you've hit the sales, when a wee thought popped into my head.
I checked back on your page to see if my wee thought was indeed correct...and it was!
You don't like shopping!
So I'll rephrase the question -
have you hit the book shop sales yet?! (I books too. I'll read anything & everything & luckily kiddo has inherited this!)
Greetings & salutations!

Hi
I had a quiet Christmas and New Year, my husband was away for Christmas, but back for New Year, and spent the afternoon complaining he didn't feel well. Self inflicted, so I had no sympathy.
The weather is very cold, no snow, but the river has ice on it.
I hope the little one is over the chicken-pox soon, its not very nice being spotty.
Went to town today for the first time this year, didn't buy any bargains though, just normal everyday stuff, like veggies, and an 'Oor Wullie' book as no-one got me a copy for Christmas.
Greetings & salutations!
mozelda Posted Jan 8, 2003
Oh, I Oor Wullie & The Broons! I've been getting them for my christmas for the past 20+ years! I remember my mum asking me once if I wasn't a bit old for them now! I said no way, you're never too old or too young to read them! Hilarious so they are!
What books do you read? Are you like me, everything & anything?!
I've got a huge book collection, from Jackie Collins to Stephen King, Charles Dickens to Aldous Huxley, Maeve Binchy to Irvine Welsh. Basically, if it's words on paper, I'll read it!!

Greetings & salutations!
