As some of you may know; my latest leg catastrophe is the knee on the bad side; presumably i have torn cartilage or something in the latest fall.

It's taking ages to heal but up until half an hour ago i could literally not bear any weight at all on it. Then half hour back, whilst being a "good girl" for once & actually putting my feet up; got massive shooting, stabbing nerve pains in the knee; nothing at all like the pain from the injury, but same as the ones i get in my feet, like an electric shock & makes muscles visibly twitch.

I had to get up & move about & to my great surprise found the knee is suddenly much improved! smiley - biggrin Not over the hill yet, it's very fragile & would be very easy to twist it again or overuse it, but i can actually put some weight on it.

My *personal* theory is that 'smiley - yikesanother one'these 'and another' spasms are actually the nerve or myelin trying really hard to regrow at the site of the injury; which is agonising at the time but must surely mean that nerve damage *can* be reversed? Or you could be pessimistic i suppose & say "ah, it's nerve cells dying from the insult of the injury"

Anybody else had similar stuff?

It is possible your back got out of alignment when you fell.
Certain areas of the lower back can cause pain in a hip - leg- foot.

Maybe you behaved yourself long enough or got in just the right position to relieve what was being pinched higher up from your knee.

The inflamation should have gone down some which would help.
Relaxation of muscles can help your overall alignment and correct any displacements when the swelling has gone down.

What ever happened, I am glad it's being better!
Keep us postedsmiley - goodluck
