....finally got my tipi up for the first time today...I've spent about 6 months on the whole project.. sourcing canvas, finding poles stripping and finishing...anyway it's finally took shape at the back of my place today and I have to say I'm chuffed to bits..a handsome beast she is.......
there is a lot to be said for setting your mind to something..thoroughly researching then working through a process to achieve your goal...it's incredibly satisfying..especially when the result is so practical and beautiful (to me anyway)...to many people are divorced from their surroundings...the housing shortage should be solved by people making their own homes (not necessarily tipi's obviously)....anyway..I'm loving' it.

As the Aussies say "Good on ya, mate!" Nothing like a job well done, & that sense of accomplishment & pride in workmanship.
How've ya been otherwise? Ages since we 'talked'!

I'm doin' ok...had a nasty bout of pneumonia - I've had it before, & it likes to make those unpleasant (& unwanted!) return visits from time to time . But my gave me some very effective medication - gave it the boot fairly quick.
Weather's finally a bit more like spring, was really nice yesterday - went out for brunch with a good mate.
