h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Do not read further if you haven't seen it yet!

These are my thoughts:

Wow! So good. An exhilarating 2 hours and however many minutes. The plot was a bit silly but still entertaining and the acting was great. The filming was done really well, particularly the fight sequences. There was so much stuffed into the plot that character development (and there were a lot of characters) went right out the window, and Cyclops had virtually nothing to do, except get beaten up. Mystique and Iceman have expanded roles but Rogue has little to do, which is a shame because she's a good character. Nightcrawler was a shock as I thought he was going to be a baddy, but Alan Cumming did very well in the role. I thought it was good how more time was devoted to Jean Grey because she had bugger all to do first time around and seemed like a bit of a weed, but it turns out she's much more powerful than you think, so when she sacrifices herself at the end it's really sad.

However, there was the suggestion that something happens under the water, no doubt to be explored in the probable X - Men 3, and according to a friend who saw the cartoon (and it makes sense) is that she becomes the Phoenix, a really powerful character.

It is true(about the pheonix), I was addicted 2 the comics/cartoon, and I am still a huge fan.

They didn't focus so much on Rogue and Wolverine in the first in this movie because the first movie, was practically devoted to them.

I thought though that when mostique swore at the soldiers, when sliding through the doors, was funny.

I was annoyed at this new character(the guy's assisstant/female version of wolverine), she was never in the comic, and I think that her character was just a pathetic one.

Did anyone recognise iceman's brother? I thought he looked fermiliar, and then remember where I saw him from. He is young 'Jesse' from 'Taken'.

p.s is there really a third x-men planned?

They say it isn't definate, but this film has made so much money already (after 1 week on release) they must do, it'd be stupid not to.

P.S. Can't agree more about the God that will be .... The Matrix Reloaded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Goes off to kick ass for a while*

OK, i saw this question on a website - who would win in a fight - The Hulk, Wolvering or Neo? We said Wolverine, although Neo would win unless he was in the real world, where he is a weakling.
