Aaaah! I missed my hootoo birthday! It was the 13th of September. I've now been a "proper" researcher for 3 years. for me!

I was surprised to find out that this makes me "older" than some researchers like Lil and B'Elan whom I had always assumed had been here longer, since they seem to know more people.
But then I only started getting involved in lots of converstioans quite recently.

I've been here almost four years and still feel a novice. I mingle a little but haven't got time to become a fullblown reseacher - whatever that includes.
I like the company most 'places' I go. But I think it requires hours and hours if I want to follow the community life closely.

I think you're right. Plus there seem to be lots of people who can spend a lot of time and all seem to know eacvh other - it can be hard to get noticed.

Come and have a chat at the Outdoor Bar. F95740?thread=200932&show=20&skip=15980#pi15986.
Frequented by three Danes, an Estonian and a Dutchman working in Moscow periodically.
Some times others pop in. There is no fixed subject, behaviour or rules - mostly small talk - but fun.
Age-wise we range from mid-30es to my 53.
