Of course it does. Madly, wildly, often painfully. But it does.

It's really our responsibility to make it behave to us... it just won't do that of its own accord.

It certainly does Greta,& occassionally it drags us along kicking & screaming smiley - erm...but I've actually got another topic to get onto, relating to "the 4/4 Beat & Deep Sexy Basslines".smiley - musicalnote

I'd neglected to mention(at all on hootoo), that awhile before Christmas I'd caught both performances here by a Canadian (contemporary) Blues singer, named Dawn Tyler Watson - who according to her bio, was born in Manchester, but I digress - http://www.dawntylerwatson.com . The second night she had the little dancefloor packed, with an encore that lasted over 20 minutes, starting with;smiley - musicalnote'Standin' On Shaky Ground', moved into 'Play That Funky Music Whiteboy', into Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition', then back to 'Standin'...'smiley - musicalnote a really great show!...even got her to sign the CD I bought smiley - smiley.

Cool. I love packed dancefloors! I had the time of my life at the party last Saturday. My ex used to say I looked gorgeous on the dancefloor because I always smile when I'm dancing. It's true, the moment the music starts I can feel this stupid happy grin forming on my face. I sometimes smile so much that my face starts to hurt smiley - smiley

Great! I tend to kinda keep my smiles on the inside, but even tonight - they had a Blues Jam at the club I volunteer (fixing snacks) at, http://www.yardbirdsuite.com - I was doin' some dance moves in the kitchen smiley - winkeye.

It's an involuntary reflex. I'm smiling before I even notice!

Yeah thats usually what happens, the body just instanly responds to that 'feel good' vibe music seems to - usually - have. Its particularly infectious with a 'dance' beat, or the really funky stuff...of course, you've got to be in the right frame of mind - but chances are, thats more or less a sizeable window, so to speak. Music has an insiduous way of 'sneaking up on you' smiley - winkeye.

It's kinda what you get used to...only trouble is Neugen, these last few years its been so 'up & down'. We get softened up with warmer weather, then when we get the kind of winter weather I remember from my youth (heck, up until the '80's!), it seems that much worse.

I mean, the last few years, over a 5 month period (Dec. to April), we've only had maybe 7 - 9 weeks of legitimate "winter" weather...but, spread out, a few days here...a week there...a couple days 2 weeks later...smiley - erm.

The inconsistency, thats whats hard to take...makes the winter seem longer.

My mom always said that after a funeral. I thought it was a cold comment, as a kid. I am NOW glad today, that I repeatedly heard it. It is so true after a death....how quickly life goes on.
