Just got the email notification this morning that I got a pass grade 2 (70%-83%) for the OU module I did this year.
Which means that the OU has offered me (and I have accepted!) the award of a Bsc(Hons) Psych (open) 2.1 (to give it its full title!).
Actual letter to come and official award date will be Dec 31st but that is all formalities.
I managed it, a 2.1 at last, what I should have got all those years ago.

I promise I'll only do this this once, and yes I know there are lots of you with much better letters than below, but allow me my one moment of vanity will you?

I always think OU degrees are an amazing achievement.
Are you officially a smartarse? Does each buttock have a seprate degree?

I've passed this year's OU unit (number theory and logic), but have a couple more to go, plus a summer school, before I get the award.

I'm tempted to make my next qualification either OU history or a distance learning MSc in Stats and Epidemiology.

Yes Z, it's OU Maths I'm studying. I gues the number theory gave it away there - must be more careful.

You never know with the OU.. can't you do random modules which take your fancy and just get a degree without a name?

Yes, you can - they'll give you an ordinary (non-honours) degree with 360 points, I think, so long as enough of them are at levels 2 and 3. Would need to check, though.
