h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I get into work, turn the computer on, log in and register on the time booking site.
I then grab my mug and coffee, go to the kitchen area, wash the mug out and make myself a nice strong cup of black coffee.
Returning to my desk I open my email and start going through any incidents that may have happened and generally start the day.

Today I was greeted by
"Morning all

It has been brought to our attention that people in the building are using the sponge by the sink in the kitchen to clean items other than cutlery and crockery

Please can we ask you not to use this sponge and if necessary ask reception or the cleaner for a cloth for tasks other than cleaning cutlery and or crockery"

That made me pause mid sip of my cuppa I can tell ya!
I hate to think what people have been doing with sponge and the fairy liquid!

(eeeeeeeeeeeew)

A bloke at work came into the kitchen at work, with a plastic brush sticking out of his top pocket, which he then used to clean his mug.

I asked him what was wrong with the company provided brush by the sink.

He said "I stopped using that the day I saw a member of staff come in and use it to remove something from the bottom of his shoe."

Cleanliness ~ over-rated.

Still, interesting to note it is not an isolated incidence.
