In abject homage to Icy, whose quizzes none can match.

1. Which early Disney character is an Indian runner?

2. Which is reportedly burned in Ireland?

3. Which never spoke, but nevertheless sounded rather French?

4. Which sounded a half note out in German?

I know an Indian Runner is a breed of duck, so I'll go for Donald.

One down and three to go

You can call me TC

I thought 4 might be Bee Movie, but that's not a Disney film, it appears.

If anyone's interested, these are Blue Runner ducks. (In blue suits and hats.)

I have number 2, but I won't spoil it for others. 3 and 4 are proving elusive. 2 was merely illusive.

No 3 is Pluto. Rather French. The French for "rather" is "plutôt".

Exactement. I just cobbled the other three together to go with no. 1 which tickled my fancy.

Post away, Icy, I don't think anyone else is looking.

I presumed that question 4 related to the semitone difference between German note B and English note B (as obviously did TC), but now I'm not so sure.

Oh, I won't spoil 4 - the best of the bunch. But 2 looks like it could be Mickey Mouse's arch-enemy Pete:

Never heard of Pete, but it sounds like a good answer.

Tis indeed. Black Pete, the stock villain. And (for lurkers in the dark) black peat is burned in Ireland, where it is more commonly known as turf. controversial now in the light of bog preservation

Interesting to see he is no longer called Black Pete, as he was in my childhood. Though his first appearance in 1925 (earlier than all the other surviving Disney characters) was as Bootleg Pete the pirate, later renamed Pegleg Pete.

I suppose so. I've never heard of a minim.
