ok so im new to this h2g2 thingg...can anyone give me some tips to get started?

h2g2 is a fairly friendly place. The <./>ACEs</.> (that's a link: check it) help newcomers to settle in and to find the right buttons to push.

Post freely. The place is very easy to use and navigate once you get used to it, but everyone makes a couple of mistakes in the beginning, so you won't get shouted at if you do something wrong. (Or, at least, not very loudly.)
