Hi.
I will be visiting china in five weeks for a holiday and have been trying to learn basic Mandarin. when eating out I would like to place my order politely for example (may I have) then my order request. I can find the translation for (I want),but I thought this might come across as a bit rude.
Any sugestions please

All I know about Mandarin is that you have to be very careful with pronunciation, maybe your local Chinese restaurant or chippie could help?
