Well hello to..whoever ends up reading this. I seem to have found myself at a loss. I don't think I've quite got this h2g2 thing yet....any help or advice or anything really would be most welcome!

oh yes, I am sorry about that! Kind of got all excited about it and then forgot to log on for a little while...i suppose it is all fairly straight forward...so anyway i cant believe how quickly i got a reply from my post! you people must be really lovely! i don't even know what to ask to be honest, what should i be asking from h2g2 and its friendly inhabitants?

Well...to be honest, the best thing to do is go read some of the conversations in <./>askh2g2</.> first....if you feel comfortable posting there, then post.
Once you feel you've got your feel under the table, then you could ask whatever question you like! 
Something silly is usually good as it gets the best responses...something silly like..."how do you stop a man from getting bald" or something like that.
As for the quickness of the reponse...that's what ACE's are here for. Help newbies settle down and get comfy...once you're comfy, we'll make sure you get addicted
