I've no idea what Douglas Adams collected - but you'll have a much better chance of finding someone who does if you post your question over at <./>Askh2g2</.> instead, because a lot of people frequent the conversation threads over there.

To my knowledge he was an avid collector of everything that Apple ever made, and at one point had the largest collection of Macintoshes in the UK...practically a museum.
