Hello!
I promise next time i come on i'll start a convo about some random subject, but today i need an answer to my question as i have searched high and low for it on the web and can't find an answer...so here goes..
Do you need a licence to busk in the streets of London? If you don't have one, would you get arrested or fined? Is busking seen as a crime?
Ok sorry, that was more than one question...someone plz get back to me...

"Buskers & Busking" written by a friend of mine.
I have busked in UK, Greece & France & never had a licence, though i never tried it in London, where i imagine the competition is more fierce. maybe the best way to find out might be to go up to a friendly looking busker, sling a quid into his/her hat & ask them in person?
I'll try & track down a few more links for you....

So it seems there is an official licence scheme, but i think from a quick scan, it's just for certain Tube stations & you have to audition; that should be fun!
What sort of stuff do you play?
