Well, as you can probably guess, I'm new. This is an American saying it, but I'll do my best to not be intrusive and invasive...say, what is that you're -- no, I'm doing it again.
Anyway, feel free to say, or not to say, hello to me. I'm totally alright with it if you don't...seriously. Don't try to make me feel better if you think I'm depressed...I'm alright, okay?
(Please say "Hi", or even curse me out.)

I consider it a great achievement - no relatives were harmed in the making of this Christmas
One could (almost) say that I (almost) behaved myself impeccably (almost)
38degrees C - champagne, vodka, someone's uncle's homemade elderberry wine (made on a base of methylated spirits I think)- prawns, turkey, duck, ham, salads etc etc etc - about 8 kids aged from 8 months to 6 years (didn't eat any of those - despite the temptation), lots of relatives (some I hadn't met before - they handled me quite well (almost)- considering)
And I'm home safe and sound (almost)
Yep - it was that good
Thank goodness the next one's 365 days away

Hi seenfromabove. I just signed up to be a member of h2g2 as well and I also am an American (for awhile longer). Well, it's Christmas Day so I suppose I should say Merry Christmas or Merry Winter Solstice or what have you.... This should be an interesting venture. I'm going to go look for the page where I can introduce myself....or atleast I suppose I should. Be well all

Hello.I'd like to ask you about education in England.I want to study there and want to know how much would it be in average? And from what age the students are received in universities(does it matter if I am 16 but have already finished the school).thanks for attention.

hey, RUSHian. you speak good english btw. much better than me - and I live here...
anyway, education in britain. you say you have finished school. does that mean that you have finished 11 years of education??
do you know what GCSEs and A Levels are?? sorry if i sound patronising, but i don't know ANYTHING about school in Russia (i'm presuming that you're russian...), so i don't know how it works.
in Britain, basically, you have to do GCSEs and A Levels, or another qualification equal to A Levels to go to university. people here don't normally start univerity until the age of 18.
hope i've helped, drop me a line if you want any more details or anything.
