Hi,
i was on this site ages ago, was totally confused so gave up.
Had a very dull day today so thought ild try again as it does seem like a great site.
Any tips or advise as to how to work this place?

Thanks for being so welcoming. Im sure ill get the hang of this pace soon. There is enough help pages . i just managed to change my backround. go me lol. only thing is i seemed to have lost how to put smiles in :-s.

I don't know about other skins (backgrounds) as I use Brunel, which is now the preferred skin for h2g2 used by the BBC Staff 
You could try clicking on here: <./>smileys</.>
You will find the entire range of smileys in there...
