this is the precise reason I failed chemistry in college, I can never seem to remembe the names of the stupid things. Oh Well, it was a long time ago, and have no intention of ever taking chemistry again.

My physical chemistry lecturer was once describing the differences between biology and physics, claiming that physics is much easier than biology. He said, (if reading out loud, this part must be done in a thick Russian accent)
"If biology student comes up to me and says he cant understand physics, I dont believe him, he is just not trying hard enough, because biology much more difficult than physics. But if a physics student says he doesnt understand biology, I will accent that."
He pauses and thinks for a few seconds, then says
"Of course chemistry is a diferent story entirely, NO ONE understands chemistry."

oops got that first bit the wrong way around, thats supposed to be "..claiming that biology is much easier than physics"

Isn't it usually biologists - not chemists - who use lab rats?

Im doing biomedical science which involves a little bit of everything, including pesky old chemistry (which really gets me down, but which I always seem to get good marks in for some strange reason...). But not much physics thank god! Actually I have never used a live animal in a lab, unless you count bacteria...
