There are so many wild fires in Russia that the western slope of Colorado is smokey. It's enough to make people think the fires are much closer in the US

's just about to put me on a new med. Just been researching and came up with:
What are the common side effects of this medicine?
Lightheaded. Avoid driving, doing other tasks or activities that require you to be alert until you see how this medicine affects you.
Dizziness is common. Rise slowly over several minutes from sitting or lying position. Be careful climbing stairs.
Females: Breast tenderness, deepening of voice, increased hair growth, menstrual changes.
Males: Breast enlargement.
Nausea or vomiting. Small frequent meals, frequent mouth care, sucking hard candy, or chewing gum may help.
High potassium. This may make you feel weak, lightheaded, dizzy, numbness, tingling, or like passing out.
Change in sexual ability or desire. This can return to normal after medicine is stopped. Talk with healthcare provider about other medicines without this side effect.
Think I should pass?

YUK I hate meds but the alterative is not productive.
Hmm those warnings can scare you off just about anything! Would that be prednisone? Hate that stuff , makes me a bit crazy. It can be a wonder medication though.
If it is progesterone, that made me like act like I was in a cranky male in mood.
Depends how bad the thing you are treating is
If they have no side effects they do not work well in my opinion.
When they do have them they should be less of a nuicance than the orginal problem.
Unless they are actually fixing something or keeping it from worsening. I am guessing the meds from the warnings <> sounds like them or an RA medication.
A Good Luck is in order whatever you decide.

And just because a side effect's listed doesn't mean you'll get it==I was on dilantin for awhile before I read the side effects--scared me silly! Didn't have any of them though...

Smokey Colorado slopes! Blimey, smoke does travel. reminds me of the time when I was a kid when we had volcanic ash on our cars, came from Mount St Helens I believe.

Hi Amy You must have really seen a lot, amazing you saw the actual plumeQuite believable considering we had the ash a 1000 miles away.
Kaz ~ I recall being in Boulder Co,lying in the sun and having ashes come down. It was not long before all was covered with a fine ash.
We went to the volcanic area a few years ago.
It's a huge area of destruction. They have a very nice visitors center with videos. The NW area is quite packed with variety if you happen to get over that way Kaz.

At the time, we lived outside Salem, Oregon. Ash all over, though not really deep.

There are mornings we can actually smell the smokiness here
And the sky has a bright orange glow at the horizon when it is dusky that is attributed to those fires
