The New Computer...

I have a new computer, it has just under 40Gb total space. I am using about 2.5 Gb of this space. It has a 900 Mhz processor. It's really quite good. Except that the CD-RW will only burn discs if I use Real Player to burn them... which is a annoying because with my version of RealPlayer I can only burn once before it finalizes the disc. And I can't use the 56 kbs modem. I am having to use my old 28.8 bps modem. But all in all I am quite pleased with the damn thing. Suz found it for me at the bargin price of £150!
I am very unhappy about my lack of sucess at loosing weight. I am making more progress with the giving up of cigarettes. I am loving Suz more everyday. And missing her enormously when we are apart.

No what you mean about the loosing weight thing... Sounds like abargin for the computer; why won't the modum work? is it a hardware fault or some software problem?

I *need* to lose weight and improve fitness. I am dangerously obese. The psychological damage of being this weight is increasingly important obstacle.
Still haven't determined if it's hardware or software... at somepoint I will go through all the discs that came with the computer looking for the software related to the built in modem and see if reinstalling it makes a differance...

Good luck with all, the computer, and loosing weight... I really need to get my weight down, I should get round to joining the gym soon, I've been talking about it for ages, but haven't yet motivated myself to actually do it

To my knowledge there are no affordable gyms near me... I find that the structure and environment of a gym make exercise an easier act to get into... When I was fitter and my mental health problems didn't stop me I enjoyed going to the gym and could understand why people find exercise so addictive...
I think even if there were a affordable gym around me my mental health problems... the shame of being of such a disgusting appearance would keep me from making the most of it.

I'm quite lucky here, there is a council run sports centre thing, not too far away, and it has a gym thats ment to be quite good; being council run its quite cheap, though I'd need to taxi there and back I always get a little paranoid about what other people will think of me, when I'm in the gym, but I guess I just need to go and get back into it, I've never really done much gym exercising, I used to get enough cycling, hiking and such like
