Mood Stabalisers...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Started conversation Jul 24, 2003
I have been prescribed mood stablisers at last... I also had a blood test today... I haven't managed to get them to tell me what the blood test is for, nor what side effects I can expect from the mood stabalisers or much of anything really regarding my current diagnosis... in fact the SHO I've been seeing is annoying me muchly with his patronising and condescending non-answers... I've not seeing my consultant since I was discharged and he remains invisible... I'm disatisfyed with the service I'm recieving from the NHS to the pouint where I am now considering seeking out one the advocacy services...
Still I have a weeks supply of mood stablisers which I will start tomorrow morning... I'll get through tonight with malibu and larazepam...

Hope the new drugs work out well: If you think your not getting fare/proper treatment from the doctor peoples, you should* be able to ask to be seen by someone else; Kind of like a 'second opinion; I don't know how you'd go about doing this though, Good luck with it all

I tried getting referred for a second opinion some time ago... nothing came of it...
Hence my desire to contact an advocacy service or Mind...

Yeah, guess they should be able to help, or point you to who can if they can't if that makes sense I'm pretty slow today, didn't sleep well Filling myself with coffee is helping, but it'l make me go to the loo even more* frequently than normal* when I'm to the pub tonight : Its frustrating how you have to keep 'hastling' and getting on to people just to get stuff done, I had something simular when I needed an opperation, and they set a date months in the future, in the end I was in so much pain, I got myself drove to hospital, and admitted as an 'emergency'; opperated on within a few hours The system rarely seems to make sense...

Yes it is very frustrating having to fight for the help you want and in theory deserve...
I'm as angry as I was the other day so I'm not so set on the idea of going to an advocate without talking things over with my GP first... he's the closest I have to a doctor or medical professional I trust...
It's too early to tell if the Epilim Chrono is working yet... but mood stabliser are ment to be quite fast acting drugs...
Key: Complain about this post
