I'm sitting here; in a chair that is too low, in a reasonably sized room, with wan grey morning light silhouetting the tangles of roses and brambles in the window to my left, listening to A Perfect Circle.
I'm thinking about whether I should stop avoiding going to sleep now, or continue until I get that pain behind my eyes. I'm thinking about a favourite quote "He's not mine...is he? His madness.... His madness keeps him sane." - Delirium
"And do you think he is the only one, my sister?" - Dream
I'm thinking that as Christmas' that I can remember go I feeling fairly good, and I remembering that I may have thought that before only last year and was struggling against the urge to kill myself not long after...
I'm wondering if I should go through the list of 232 trends in co-dependents -or is it codependents?- and identify which ones apply to me now or try to leave until the weekend before my lovely therapist gets back from New Zealand, I'm aware that I will probably do it sooner rather than later, because I'm just the type to pick at a scab.
I'm sitting here, in a chair that is too low, in this beige room and thinking how 'beige' my life feel right now, wondering how many livings things have already used the water currently in my body... Where was the start that died before it's matter was all of us filthy beasts.

I am in much the same state, but my chair is blue. This can be the sh**tiest time of the year can't it? But yes,to try & think of the progress from last year is progress in itself.
I just want it to be over & revert to normal abnormality.

Apart from being a bit stressed and irritated this Christmas hasn't been so bad, not that much worse any other weekend. Which probably places it in my top ten of Christmas periods. However since I have failed to plan anything for New Years, that may be bad time when it would normally be the best bit of year so things will balance out, I guess.

Sprouts for Christmas I must say they tasted lovely. They were slightly cooked and then stir fried with bacon and cherry tomatoes.

This christmas has been better than I expected. Which isn't saying much. I failed to get excited until the point where I opened my new guitar and then ignored wveryone else while I spent a few happy hours tuning and then playing with it.
It's times like this that I remember: music saves the best of us.

A guitar, bath ducks! You're all spoiled ...

Snailrind Posted Dec 28, 2005
Poor Krabatt! No music, no bath ducks; just stir-fried sprouts. Don't let it get to you, Krabatt. Sprouts can be musical too. About four hours after eating them.

Ah yes! I was already wondering ...
My good old friend with whom I spent Christmas gave me a Snoopy made of pluche. He's a big fan of Schulz' Peanuts, Charlie Brown and his friends.

That's great.
These last couple of days I realized something.
My real alive-and-kicking dog's name is Lucy. When I used to be a kid there was an ad on the telly of a business that's (still) making food products of nuts. On the screen of the telly there would be a non-descript-middle-aged-man in a white jacket who, with the aid of a pincet, would hold a peanut in front of his glasses and after a few moments of scrutinizing the nut he would put it aside in a bag saying: 'OK'.
The skull of my own dog resembles a peanut and I'm used to stroking her head and then after a while I will say: OK!
Now, the strange thing is that my dear old friend who gave me the Snoopy doesn't know this at all. Thinking about it I guess he gave me the Snoopy in a concious or unconcious association of her name with the big gob of Peanuts' Lucy with my own Lucy. She can be rather catty.
