I asked myself what else other than what you explained "cochlear abuse" as I could possibly have misinterpreted it as. And that was the first thing that came to mind, "coch" is Welsh for red and cotton buds are used for cleaning ears and a Welsh midget being hit over the head with one seemed abusive and vaguely amusing.

Cochlear abuse I understand instantly. Grins and sighs my powers of reasoning fail me on.

Well, I told my mom I was abusing my cochleas one day and she asked me what the hell I meant... I thought it best to explain... anyway, I apparently need to pick up some Welsh, and put my hair up because it's all in my face.... *blows at it*

You probably really don't care about hair trouble... however, I'm still really thinking of hacking it all off... then I wouldn't have the hair in the face problem.

What is stopping you?
Is there any cut or style that's shorter than what you have now that you might care to try or have tried and liked? Or do just what to really just go with a "lawn mower accident" approach?
Perhaps we should both go with hair like Justin Furstenfeld?

I wasn't thinking quite that short on the sides... I'm thinking more of Kiera Knightly in Domino short... I've had a pixie before, and I liked it, it was easy and didn't take much work to make it look nice.

I think that's a reflection of how lovely your hair is, as is. Seems lovely to me from what I've seen.

The pixie style I imagine could look rather cute.
You always bring up the manageability brought by shorter hair.
What's the biggest factor, do you think, in the persistence of the urge to have it off?
