David Tennant (Dr Who) and Patrick Stewart (Capt Picard) are in a production of Hamlet. That could be really good or really bad. I doubt it would be average.

Hmmm.... If they play the parts as those characters playing parts, that would be brilliant.
Like William Shatner in Free Enterprise wanting to play Julius Caesar as a musical.

Stewart has a classical acting backgrouund:

David Tennant somewhat less so:

It might be great, who knows?

I remember seeing Stewart in a BBC production of something when I was in high school but don't remember what - MacBeth maybe? I think it would be fantastic if they played as their sci-fi characters but I think both likely have the range to play it straight and pull it off.

Patrick Stewart is one of those few actors whose films (or productions) I would see just because he's in it. After 'Jeffrey' and his cameo in 'Men in Tights', I'm convinced he's suited to play anything he darned well pleases. (Not that those were particularly attention-getting roles, just places you didn't expect to see Patrick Stewart).
I'm sure it would be entertaining.
