Emee, out from under the rock Started conversation Nov 14, 2005
Lunch today was a baked potato with butter, cheese, chives, ham, bacon bits & a little bit of sour cream. Yum. Had an email that says all the empty cubicles have to be cleaned out by the end of the week. It lends a bit of credence to the rumor that our building is for sale. There's also a rumor that we'll have layoffs in the beginning of December. Combined with the incredible amount of pressure we're under to reduce the number of disputes we have open... it doesn't bode well. Still. I could use 10 weeks of pay, plus some free time to put my resume out there.
Peanut hasn't been sleeping well. I don't know what the deal is. She woke up a little after midnight last night. Mr. Emee and I were awake - talking about finances of all things. He knew he had to be up at 5:15 and still wanted to tweak the budget and figure out how long it will take us to pay off some specific bills.
Fortunately, he took care of Peanut - rocked her for about an hour. She fell asleep but woke when he tried to put her in her bed so she ended up sleeping with us.
She kicks.
I was so
that I have only a vague impression of them coming to bed. Then this morning she cried when I handed her off to the daycare worker.
It's the first time she's done that. I think she's heading into that attachment phase. *sigh* She isn't walking yet - I know it's still early to really worry, but I worry anyway.

Aw don't worry too much, peanut will soon learn that the clingy thing doesn't work. It was a wrench at first when we put the boys with a childminder, but they soon get adjusted, the problem is that you feel guilty.
With the pressure of impending redundancy all the minor tribulations can seem to mount up, just remember, deep breaths. You can tell by the smiley's you used in that last last post that you are not having the best of times,i don't think you omitted any of the negative ones.
and
called for i think.
Oh, nice lunch by the way.
