why jules?
sorry, i'm just curious about people's names - i reckon it's all good that people don't just use their real names, or derivations thereof

It's actualy quite boring I'm afraid. Jules is my middle name (or actualy Julius in swedish). Jules has a kind of dignity to it, don't you think?

I know somebody who knows somebody called Jules.
At least, I have found a Swedish person on h2g2! For the past few days I've desperatly wanted to find one.
So, how's the death metal scewne going on then?

Well hey...
I'm sorry to say you picked the wrong sweed. I'm more into jazz and... oh well, I'm into a lot, but not that much death metal. If you want to find sweeds (or people from norway for that matter) you should check out that place where the guys who run this place invites everyone to tell them whery you come from.

Oh, that place. It's very busy. So, I might not have time to look around there. Guess I'll just bump into a few by accident then
Still, I think it's good to meet a Swede who -isn't- of my stereotyped image, eh?

Do you wear skin cloths and have long hair?
I have long hair but it's coming off soon. What is your picture of sweden?

No skin clothes, short hair
My idea of Sweden is that it's a cold place, with friendly people. Death metal fans and lesbians can be found in abundance. That's my stereoytype.

Its cold most of the yoar but the summer in the southern parts are the best. Great for lesbian romances and outdoor death-metal concerts.
I can understand cold, and maybe the death-metal fans, but the lesbians???

Well, there was this episode of Bottom (a Brit comedy show) where thos guy rents out a video and says "It's called 'Swedish lesbians in strawberry jam'". The other guy looks at the case and says "no Eddie it says 'Swedish -legends' in strawberry jam".
They've picked up some kind of notoriety (but not because of this tv show).

I think you can wath that show on swedish television as well. Its about two middle aged women, having delayed puberty problems, isn't it? I like that a lot.
I know of one or two lesbians in my town. It has a population of about 30.000 persons. And there is one famous lesbian couple (Eva & Eva) that you can read about in the gossip-press. I cant think of any others at the moment. Maybe a lot of swedish lesbians move abroad...
