In addition to celebrate our 1st and second anniversaries, I got creative and took my partner to a fancy restaurant for our 1000th days. It is an anniversary that is much less expected, and makes the occasion even more special. I did not tell him what the occasion was, thinking I would wait for the dessert and a glass of champagne.
I was particularly pleased when, 5 minutes into the entrees, he looked at me and asked "Is this for our 1000th day together ?"...

... on the practical side : how to calculate your 1000th day ?
In this age of computerised... everything :
Open your favorite spread-sheet program (Micro...xel will do!), type the date you want to commemorate (1st kiss, 1 dinner, wedding, whatever) in A1 cell, then in the next cell, type something like "=A1 + 1000".
If the spread-sheet is clever enough, you'll get a date as a result. If not, change for a better program !

that's weird. I just had a look to see when our 1000 day anniversary of our wedding was, and it's today!

Well, depending on which time zone you are in, you might have a few hours left to improvise a romantique, surprise dinner.
Or just a little note to mark the day !

for finding the 1000th day aniversay I know perfect and award winnig software called paw print's world clock. it has a "traqdate tool" for past dates and to countdown dates.
you can donwload it from http://pawprint.net/wt/
n.b. you can also add world times from all over world!

I have just used Excel to work out how long I've been married and it comes to 2451 days which unfortunately means that I've now got to wait 
549 days before I can spring a surprise 3000 days of marriage anniversary
