Sunrise, Peter Jennings, gorillas, and a large cheque....
Mudhooks: ,,, busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest... Started conversation Oct 14, 2005
Sooooo.... I was living in a large loft-like space. It was a red-brick building which appeared to have no stairs to enable you to get in and out. I had to put ladders up whenever I wanted to get in or out and if I had visitors.
There was a beautiful sunrise so I grabbed my camera and dashed out to get some photos. I climbed down this wrought iron structure which appeared to be part of a fire escape. At first it was nice and sturdy. However, it gradually deteriorated and was really rusted and it was hard to find a hand-hold. Parts kept leaning frighteningly under my weight. For some reason, whereas all the other places to put a ladder up were perhaps 8 feet from the ground, this side was quite a number of stories high......
Finally, I reached the ground and trid to find someplace to take some photos from. However, now the sunrise was gone. So I just wandered around to see if I could find something else to take photos of. Suddenly, I noticed some elephants high up above an embankment. They appeared to be standing around a large red-brick building (not mine)... an old school perhaps? I was trying to firgure out what this zoo was. I seemed to be in the past some time because I keopt saying to myself that the Toronto Zoo hadn't been built at this time....
Anyhow, I started walking over to where the elephants were and then noticed that I was in an enclosure with gorillas. They hadn't seen me yet, so I started retracing my steps in hopes of finding a fence to get over before they spotted me. Finally, I found a chain-link fence which I went to climb over. I was worried that it would be electrified but figured I would take my chances. I guess I would prefer to be electrocuted thatn jumped upon by a bunch of gorillas...
Luckily, it was not electrified and I climbed over. I recall being concerned that if I could climb over the fence so could some gorillas. I got over the fence and made my way to a very high wall which was made from 4X4s. I climbed up to the top.
(Somewhere in the preceding time, a famous newscaster, I am thinking it was Peter Jennings, though I didn't particularly like him. He told me that I had joined a group of people who had invested some money in a lottery or something. He gave me several hundrd dollars of winnings.)
Sooooo... I reached the top of the wall but the 4X4s at the top were either rotting or not properly staked into each other and they keep coming away in my hands. I was calling to passers by to help me but either they ignored me of stood staring at me. Some people tried to help by giving me advice when all I needed was someone to grab my hand and pull me over.
There was another famous news caster.... I have no idea who.... just one of the more famous ones. He was filming me trying to climb over the top and asking me questiong (none related to my predicament). I kept begging him to help me but he just kept filming and asking questions.
Before I finally managed to get over the top, Peter Jennings came by and dropped off another cheque, this time it was for $3712.00. He dropped it onto the top of the wall and said "Thanks for coming into it with us!" (meaning, I guess the scheme). He then walked away. For some reason I wasn't tiked off that he, too, had not helped me over. I guess the money gave me the incentive to climb over.
Finally, I guess someone must have helped me because I was next in my house. The famous newscaster who wouldn't help me was there. He kept congratulating me on having gotten over the wall. I was so mad at him that I was screaming at him and throwing things at him. He couldn't understand why I was angry....

And I thought I had it bad with the crossfire in the parking garage... (See Paul's thread).
What did we all do to deserve this?

Strangely enough, the last dream that I had (a few nights ago) was upbeat and truly wonderful.
I dreamed that I was on my computer, and I discovered a wonderful site that that teleporting capabilities. I figured out how to use it, and teleported myself to San Marco in Italy.
(This was a *town* named San Marco, not to be confused with the famous church/cathedral of that name in Venice.)
I materialized about ten feet offshore, and had to wade up to the boardwalk. Everything was wonderful in the places I went.
I remember going into a store and marveling at the stuff. I bought lots of gifts for friends and relatives. For some reason, the prices were reasonable, so I charged it all on my credit card.
Eventually, I teleported myself back to my house. All in all, one of the best trips I ever took.

I bought you a gift in that little store, dmitri: a bulletproof vest that's lightweight, airy, and edible if you find yourself starving to death.

'It might be miles beyond the moon, or right there where you stand...'
Yes, though I was thinking of Mary Martin.

Heh heh... Here is a "Well DUHHHH!" one: "To dream that you are having an orgasm, represents an exciting end to something. What is complete for you? Alternatively, it may mean that you are not getting enough sex."

I didn't have any curry whatsoever....
I was telling someone this evening about the dreams and remembered several things which probably fueled the imagery.
My friend told me that Wednesday morning, she had gotten up very early and the sinrise was absolutely amazing. She managed to get a few shots of it, but by the time she made it down to the creek where she could get a clear shot, it was pretty well over. http://public.fotki.com/Mudhooks/my_friends_albums/krys_photos/honeytrip/oct12_001.html
I was watching something last evening and they showed a film and there was a sequence of someone's home movies from some time in the late 50s or early 60s at a zoo. They said something about Toronto, and I was wondering if Toronto HAD a zoo back then.....
Do gorillas like Durian?

I dreamt I'd been demoted to groundskeeper at our Cheshire research site. I had the job of ridding the grounds of a rabbit infestation, except that these rabbits were ginger and had long bushy tails, like foxes. They were burrowing under the wisteria pergola: I chased in after them and the thing collapsed, which is when I woke up.
