The Encyclopedia Galactica, quite correctly, defines a robot as "A mechanical apparatus designed to do the work of a man." The Marketing Division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation stupidly defines a robot as "Your plastic pal, who is fun to be with." The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines a the Marketing Division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who will be the first against the wall when the robot revolution comes" in this article: A853085 "The Robot Revolution" is a concept that a lot of idiots who know nothing about computers will loudly go on about if they hear that anybody who knows more than them about computers is teaching their computer to talk. Talking seems to be the thing that makes computers be intellagent by most humans, who don't realize that any computer can do it, but most have never been commanded to. The idea that computers will take over the world (i.e. suddenly developing self-will, spend a bit of time deciding what to do next, and deciding that ruling over everyone and gratuitously killing people would be the very thing) is a stupid idea because it is simply impossible. A computer cannot, and will not, do anything it was not specifically commanded to do. This all doesn't have to do with anything much. "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
