h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

hiya can you help me???....there are two h2g2 accounts on our telewest box and i cannot access the second (namely mine JUT IN LONDON)...everytime i try to login with my bbci login name and password it says that it is not recognised...i am not using my nickname when entering these details....i would be very gratefull for your assistance

well i am no expert on telewest boxes Or an expert on anything really! )

But if if there is more than one account accessing h2g2 and the 'remember me' has been ticked at the log in, then i believe that the cookies can cause problems with any other account holders getting access. How to fix this? let me get back to you in 5 minutes!

i called for back up. Looks like you have to do some sequence of logging of and on if that is the problem, but i asked a digibox expert so hopefully she can give you a proper answer as opposed to the probably wrong answer i would give you

If it is a problem caused by clicking the remember me box then there are some steps to follow. Hi Donna

I don't often use my digibox, now that I have a PC, at the time when I was having the log out problem nothing AKA suggested solved the problem. It was only resolved when due to other problems, I got a new digibox from Telewest.

And I wasn't going to risk a call out fee from Telewest after 'messing' with the codes on their box, I didn't try the technical advicve from AKA.

I thought the advice NOT to click 'Always remember me on this Computer' was being passed around with the 'magic email' guess I was wrong

I'm a bit out of touch with digiboxs, the Friends of LD link from Mort is a good one to try.
