I am recovering from a dose of flu. (ie proper flu, not 'the sniffles that blokes get and call flu'.)
So have been in bed for days.
Normal h2g2 service will be resumed by the weekend - hopefully.

Aww Ivan! That was exactly what I wanted most.
Living alone sucks cos I had to make my own and everytime I tried I thought I was going to faint.
It took me 2 hours to feed the cats, change their trays, make a cuppa and refill the hot waterbottle, as I had to stop for a break after doing the slightest thing. Thought of logging on made me nauseaus.
My dad was going to travel up from England tomorrow to look after me but i am over the worst now
Only the second time i have had flu - and it is as bad as i remember.
Time for bed as my head is going fuzzy again.

Yup; living alone is an a**e at times like this; all sympathy; you just hole up & stay as cosy comfy & well fed as its possible to do in these times, squeak later when you are feeling more human.
*makes nother cup of virtual with Ivan, though knowing us two we will probably end up scalding each other...

Flu always leaves me craving vegetable stock, for some odd reason. Is it just me?

Slow but improving
I am as weak as a kitten and sleeping for hours.
Stopped having dizzy spells so that is good!
Bah humbug to being ill - I am such a bad patient!

Sleep & liquid of your choice (ie whatever you can get hold of without going out) & passage of time = only reliable answer.
Just think "Yippee, thank gaod i don't have some other person here, who would undoubtedly be bleating for me to look after THEM"
I hope your pussies are coping OK with all this?
