Got up this morning and switched on the TV. The funeral service of George Best was just starting. It was very moving.
He was before my time - I didn't get interested in footy and start going to see Grimsby Town until the early '80s. (When Kevin Drinkell had the number 9 shirt!)
But I don't think anyone (
fan or not) could have had a dry eye watching it today. Especially listeng to Calum's speech, and when Vincent and You Raise Me Up was sung.
It was a fitting tribute.

It is sad that a ledgend of football has passed away did his body just reject it or did he fall of the wagon and drink again??

He fell off the wagon Intern. When I'd heard he was back on the booze after his liver transplant I lost what respect I had for him. He certainly didn't deserve to have his funeral televised.

thought he had wasnt sure
i guess it would be easy enough for me to be critical of him becouse he whent back to the alcohol but i never had a drink problem so i cant realy begin to imagin how hard it must have been to give it up
Its like they say you get dependant on it and can only think about where the next drink is comeing from
it dose get me a bit
the fact of how many people could have done with the chance of that liver how many was in the same position as him but with that new liver would have never have gone back to the alcohol
