Firstly I see this is your first entry to PR. Whilst it's admirable to try and fill in the gaps in the guide. There isn't anything on David Bowie at all at the moment. I'm sure that someone as keen as you on his music would be able to write an excellent entry on it.

Unforntunaly there are quiet a lot of problems with this entry so it will need some work before it could could go in the edited guide.

I'll work through the problems one by one.

Firstly I see you've used GUIDE ML to write you entry but when you submitted in you must have left the box labled "display in plain text" checked. You need to click on Edit on the entry and correct that.

Secondly if you wrote the online review then there's no need to put a link to it in your entry, you have every right to post writing that you've published elsewhere on h2g2. However the BBC also has the right to publish anything you've published here elsewhere this is known as dual copywrite. So you can get rid of that link.

Thirdly the phrase "go and buy this now" is advertising and therefore not allowed on the BBC! it's completly against the house rules you can read them here A516034.

Fourthy. Articles in the edited guide need to show both sides of the arugument, that doesn't mean that the researchers own views can't come across it just means that you have to explain the views of people who might not agree with you.

Fifthy. Articles on the Edited Guide also need to be in Third Person so all those references to I do need to go.

None of these mean that you can't post entries on Albums that you love in the edited guide have a look at A823420 this is an entry about a Beatles album and has plenty of opinions in it!. But you do need to read the Writing Guidelines A53209 if you want to have an entry in the Edited Guide.

Sprant; the Stygian One

Oh, and in addition to the above, there are a few other things that need to be included in any review of this album. The first being that he is reunited with Tony Visconti (for the first time since Scary Monsters) as producer and that Pet Townshend (who?) is on guitar.

Then there are the cover tracks:

Cactus - The Pixies
I've Been Waiting for You - Neil Young
I Took a Trip In a Gemini Spaceship - Norman Carl Odam (The Legendary Stardust Cowboy)

As you might have guessed, I think this is great too. smiley - ok

Erm, that should have been Pete Townshend...

This would make a great vision on Book of the Future. Shall we ask the italics to move it over? Or maybe someone should tidy it up first, and Copy and paste it into a vision. Does BotF have a "written and researched by" bit? I don't think so, so how do we do collabrative entries. I think this needs to go to the italics to sort out.

What Am I Saying!!!!
No I refuse to change a word. "The Review Wot I Wrote" was from the point of view of an occasional fan who enjoyed what I listened to and felt it worth a mention.
Do I Give a Dam about who cast the cd cover? Nope.
Do I give a Dam as to who produced it? Nope.
Did I enjoy LISTENING to it? Dam true I did.
So don't pontificate about with this reviewing of another's review, when I want pointers I'll buy some gun dogs.
I'm giving a personal recommendation, not being paid to boast about my knowledge of the music industry.
You want to read "in depth" reviews? (The sort frustrated & failed wanna-be rock stars write).... go buy a magazine.
