They have been very supportive.. They have told her she doesn't have to take it further.. just name the boy so his name will be on record if another girl makes a similar complaint. She is terrified.. and we are all being swept along in the emotion of it.

Logically that is best, but logic won't matter to her at present. I am sorry your family is going through this as well as everything else it has had to go through of late.

Things can interrupt the grieving process, that happened with my gramps, I never grieved for him the way I did for previous relatives. It still shocks and surprises me and that was 18 months ago. We just have to accept the life will sometimes deal out surprises at the worst moments and you may always feel in limbo. Take control as best you can and accept the rest. Sorry thats the only advice I can think to give.
