The Subtle and sometimes not so subtle humour of the mostly show bypasses my wife. She particularly objected to John Sergeant as 'He old and he looks like a bulldog.'
I think that if the BBC were to sign George Clooney or Pierce Brosman as a regular host, the proportion of female viewers would increase dramatically !

Attraction of female viewers is not what the show is about!
Clooney (an American) and Brosnan (deeply embedded in American culture) wouldn't have a clue in presenting this show. It's British satire, British culture. It's about understanding the culture and being able to poke fun.
We need a true Brit with a sound sense of what is right and what is wrong.
God help us, there are few of the left.
Even less of the televisual...
