Do the editors realise the stress and strain they are putting me and my fellow researchers under ! Waiting to hear if my Diabetes Page has been accepted, It is definitely having an adverse effect, I have counted at least 17 new grey hairs since submitting the page. My wife thinks I'm having a Virtual Affair as I'm online so often checking h2g2, I can't sleep , and my brain is filled full of info that was definitely not there before finding h2g2. Are the editors prepared to pay my fees for therapy and double rations of Valium an Antidepressants as I feel I may need a fortnight of work, due to the stress and therefore can't afford prescription charges !!!!!
P.S I started out at 15 stone , I am now seeking treatment as I am anorexic

Calm. Yeah, I know the stress. I put off writing a paper or two for school to wander around this site and my email, hoping for acceptance. Why I got a B in a class. This place is distracting. I can give you an estimate on the time you'll have to wait... I checked out your articles, and I think they'll get in, the first one was especially well written and educational. I know several diabetics, and have it run in my family on my father's side, so it's something I've gone to research a bit. As for time... considering the number of articles the editors likely stacked up, the waiting time of the latest accepted... I'm thinking you still have a few weeks for the first one alone. The wait is long (hmm... maybe we should form a support group?) and I've seen article submitted maybe 6 weeks ago still waiting... but don't worry, yours will probably be accepted soon enough, and when you find out you'll be so elated you'll forget the amount of stress and Rogaine you had to deal with.

ONLY a B , Your grounded from H2G2 for a month or until your grades improve !!!!!!! Yeah I know patience is a virtue , But who said I was virtuos , P.S Editors I will be patient really, Diabetes is part of my life, and I can live with it, I just want to share the experience with others , so that maybe next time they meet a diabetic they will understand, and not treat them as disabled ! Whatever a persons problems they are only disabled by attitude, be it thier own or other peoples attitudes.

*sob* No, don't ground me!! Wait... school's out! The B was in the class I spent all year working on, since I'm horrible in history and I FINALLY had a year I was sure to do well.... I won't go into my science and english grades. I know the editors will get to yer article soon... I hope... it is really good....

Ulp. I hate to be the cause of stress.
For your info, Diabetes has just appeared in my queue. I'm looking at it right now, but one thing: I'm currently stacking up entries to appear over the course of next week, when I'm actually away on holiday and will be doing the front page psychically.
We will have five new entries every working day of next week, and by then I will either have put Diabetes in the 'accepted' queue, or you'll have heard from me regarding any changes necessary.
(Because of the way the system currently works, we have to manually "accept" the entries throughout the course of next week, otherwise they'll all just appear in one clump today. I've nominally accepted a whole bunch of scintillating and entertaining entries, but they have actually yet to be added. We'll try to sort this out sometime in the future, but there's the situation.)
I hope this helps with the hair colour...

Right now, as you go through the backlog, how are you going through? Is it oldest first, or what?

Well, yeah, sort of. There's some kind of oddity to do with resubmitting, or something, but basically I'm working throug them in the order that the editor tool hands them to me.
Whatever that actually is... but it tends to tallk with article number, so that /might/ be a guide.
