hi
there has been talk around the site about the h2g2 smileys
and whether we are going to be able to take them with us
so far there has been no response from any of the new powers that be
or any of you for that matter
i dont know where to ask this
but it really is important to a number of us
could someone let us know in this thread ?
or in ask as an announcement ...like... the smileys are going with us!
or something
thanks
or at least say you dont know but you are working on it
or anyone out there have any ideas how to make sure we can take them with us?
some of us may actually be lawyers

see... the thing is...
there are some who will not want to be a part of a noohootoo
that does not have these smileys...
partly because of their uniqueness and absolute artfulness...
and partly because they are one of the defining things about h2g2
and mainly because they were made by h2g2 researchers
for h2g2
and the spirit of h2g2 motivated and fueled their creation
they belong with h2g2
and without them
h2g2 will not be h2g2

yes - but I've never heard the 'unsuredeness' fluffy. I have heard people asking for new ones though - so maybe this is the confusion.
As far as I know - the smileys here are the best on the web.
Is anyone aware of a site with better or more numerous ones? Google mail and google chat have smileys that are just plain boring. Skype has a few that are not particularly inspiring, although I quite like their birthday cake and their little teddy bear which hugs you. I don't use messenger, so I cannot say - but I suppose they've got some too. Noesis have some very strange ones - but I love ours the best.
although some are hard to get right
Great typing and memory skills

Can I just say please fluffy. I think you're getting all worried about nothing - honestly. How could they keep the smileys, and sell h2g2 without them? It would make holes in all the threads - so please relax and trust?
Time for
Actually it's homemade carrot cake, but you'll just have to imagine
I can be excused that for breakfast - it's got so much carrot in it, that it's probably one of my five a day vegetables/fruits

oh youre right
thank you sooooo much
i do get worried about stuff more lately
(i have had a lot of losses lately)
but sure, they wont take them away...
all those holes...
(surely they wouldnt expect us to make new ones for those names?)
naw... they wouldnt make sense because our smileys are personalities
have unique messages
each one
thank you again
