Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

Pisa People,

I made a wee alteration on my PS - added the html that changes colours - and as a result it seems to have gone into moderation. I'm told this is a known bug. Can you please fix it, when you've got a mo.

Ta.

Sounds like your colour didn't get through the profanity filter.

Just checked the Dulux chart... was it "smiley - bleep Purple"?

Couldn't be any more obscene than Brunel Green, surely?

We've reinstated it now. It may well have been yiksed because of your dubious colour scheme or possibly because you have yet to see any of the Godfather films. But it's ok now... let us know it disappears again. smiley - ok

I have not seen any of the Star smiley - bleeping Wars films or Godfather films, either. No intention of bothering with Star smiley - bleeping Wars, but I, too, must get around to seeing at least the original Godfather film. smiley - doh

Wonder why your purple failed the filthers but my blue was OK on the first try. Kinda makes me want to try the purple. smiley - silly

Well I'm told that Godfather II is even better than the first. Also...the only (first?) sequel to win Best Movie Oscar.

btw...even without watching it...I've spotted a couple of Godfather references in The Sopranos (eg oranges = death)

And also Scorsese references...such as the first time we see Christopher Moltisanto, he's limping. In Goodfellas, Michael Imperioli's character was shot in the foot.

To be honest, I think your PS is in need of smiley - yikesing for the sheer number of footnotes you've used. smiley - tongueoutsmiley - run

I disliked the Sopranos so much after just one or two episodes, I never watched it again. Reminds me too much of the worst aspects of the neighborhood I grew up in. But I catch Godfather references all over the place and somehow manage to "get" a lot of them. It will be interesting to finally (eventually) see the film. I'll make sure to see the second one, too, but have heard the third was unwatchable.

Your footnotes are fun, Edward, even if you haven't added one for *every* tagline.

Nah! Gave up on the footnotes.

But The Sopranos was *brilliant*. smiley - tongueout

Another favourite moment was when Chrissie arrived late at a meeting with Tony and Silvio and gave the excuse:

'The highway was blocked by broken heroes out on a last chance power drive.'

(The joke being that Silvio was played by 'Miami' Steve van Zandt of the E St Band)

Anyone seen the Wise Guy funeral scene in 'Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai'?

'Sorry your nephew got whacked'
'Eh - whaddya gonna do?'

Now "Ghost Dog", I really liked! smiley - biggrin "Sorry your nephew got whacked" is a brilliant condolence.
