Roving Reportage

Due to teething problems of my own immediately after registration I had to logon to H2G2 from a different location (hey - don't tell the boss I'm doing this on work time, OK?). This took several days because H2G2 does not - as yet (hint, hint) - appear to use the points of presence protocols that will allow "roving reporters" such as we to post our contributions from varying locations around the globe.
Given the original concept of The Guide (spoken in hallowed tones), I feel this is a serious omission which must be rectified quickly in order that the mundane reality may yet live up to the grand design of the dream.
My own ISP uses a very simple system: the username is taken from the email address (ie - the individual string before the @ symbol); the password is nominated by the user. To logon from ANYWHERE, users simply enter their username and password.
Surely H2G2 can make profitable use of this technique? So, when you finish banging the rocks together, guys, would you give this suggestion some thought?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
