Hi i have applyed to be an ACE about 4 weeks ago now, is there any chance in getting the volunteer group?

The Italics aren't taking on ACE's at the moment. I think there's enough of them just now.
They do advertise on the front page though if you want to keep an eye out on that.
I see you've spoken to Lil about it. Perhaps you should leave it there for now and wait for her to get back to you with the nod as to when they're recruiting again.

ok whats the thing about tester's what do they do? (i mean what do they test?

I'm not a 100% sure what the testers do. I have a strong feeling that they're allowed to play with possible new toys that might be included onto Hootoo. I have absolutely no idea how you become one though.
I would imagine it would be done the same way as all the other volunteer groups though...ie, advertising on the front page, or opening up a new conversation in the announcements page. (you will be able to see the link on the left hand side of your screen - subscribe to that and you'll get all new conversation that the Italics want everyone to see).

Generally, we only recruit volunteers from people who have been around for a while. This is because you can't really be expected to help other users if you don't know your way around yourself
The best thing to do is just take part in the site, write entries and get involved that way. It will help you grow to understand all of the many areas of the site, and mean you'll know how the site works from experience.
It's great to see such enthusiasm - we hope you stick around!
