newbie here.i'd like to do an entry on the newly "discovered" planet nine, but i'd like to do it whimsically like it was an entry in the hitchhikers guide as it appeared in the book. should this be done in the creative writing workshop section?

Hello – welcome to h2g2! Good to see enthusiasm to start off with.
I'm very pleased to hear that you wish to write about the newly discovered planet nine, and yes, you can either submit it to the Alternative Writing Workshop or the Post, which is h2g2's weekly newspaper: <./>thepost</.>. If you'd like information on how to do this, please feel free to ask and I'll help you.
By the way, don't be alarmed if this conversation gets nudged a little into a different part of h2g2. 'Editorial Feedback' is a section usually reserved for people writing about already existing entries rather than about wanting to write a new entry. This doesn't really matter - the important bit is that we're very much looking forward to reading what you wish to write.

I agree. The Alternative Writing Workshop and other 'alternative' guides have been superseded these days by The h2g2 Post. Write it and they will come.
...and welcome to h2g2!
Key: Complain about this post
