When I wrote this article Jennifer Granholm was Governor of Michigan
so I could say she invited people to walk it with her on labor Day.
We now have a man holding that office so the pronoun she should be he

I've changed it to "Anyone who wants to travel 236 miles (380km)6 north to the Mackinaw Bridge is invited each year to join the Governor in walking the five miles across the bridge" so that there's no need to update the entry each time the governor's gender switches.
